Lady Buc Soccer beats Greenbrier 8-0 in 9AA play
The Lady Bucs (8-3-1/4-0) beat the Bobcats 8-0 tonight in District 9AA play. Jana Claire Swafford scored the first goal 9 minutes in and Alex Hancock scored just two minutes later to make it 2-0. Play was dominated by the Bucs who added two more goals in the first half. Swafford got her second of the night and Jill Fuqua scored off a corner kick to make it 4-0 at the half.
Two minutes in to the second half, Swafford and Fuqua scored again. Jana Claire’s goal gave her a hat trick. The Bucs added goals by Sophomore Cassidy Cothron and Freshman Julia Smith to finish off the visitors from Robertson County 8-0.
Coach Cooke told Beech Athletics, “I thought the girls played very well tonight. We are getting a lot better at building our attack from the back. I still believe there is much more potential out of our girls and can’t wait to see what we can do moving forward.”
The Lady Bucs will travel to Gallatin tomorrow to make up a game at 4:00pm at Gallatin HS.
